Quartz countertops and granite countertops and robots, oh my!
At A&S Granite and Marble, we are constantly trying to improve upon our quartz countertops fabrication process. One of the newest additions to our production floor is the BACA Robot Saw Jet. You might wonder why a machine is a better choice for cutting natural stone. While our expert fabricators have years of experience manually cutting stone, the machine can do things that a human cannot. Take a look at the benefits that our new robotic saw provides.
Faster Cutting
The sawblade used in the BACA saw is a 16″ saw blade which is combined with a waterjet saw. It uses what’s called a variable frequency drive in order to cut different materials with ease.
Quartz countertops unique cuts
The BACA sawjet uses an advanced PC software suite that can create more intricate cuts for complicated fabrications. Manual cutting has some limitations when you’re attempting to provide a customer with a piece of stone that needs to fit a complex space.
Quicker turnaround time
After we get the exact measurements of your quartz countertops space, we send that to our production floor for fabrication. The new BACA robot saw can cut faucets, arcs and sink openings, which means there isn’t a need to move your stone to a secondary station for additional cutting. This allows us to reduce the total fabrication time and get your new quartz countertop ready for installation.
